ABOUT PRODUCTID 2459
This vase with a wide, undulating flared rim was designed by Ludwik Fiedorowicz in 1982 and produced by Huta Szkła 'Staszic', a branch of HSG 'Ząbkowice' in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland. Made from cased, colored glass, the piece displays a vibrant, gradient orange hue—deep and almost red at the base, gradually lightening towards the neck. The smooth, glossy surface emphasizes the even texture of the glass, while the solid, weighty base with a polished and ground underside ensures stability. The ruffled rim captivates with its organic, irregular outline and a contrasting white inner edge, lending the vase a distinctly floral, sculptural quality. Measuring 31 cm in height and 15 cm in diameter, the vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or visible wear; all elements remain original and authentic. This piece echoes the spirit of Polish modernism from the 1980s, an era where craftsmanship embraced bold form and color. The geometric precision of the base contrasts with the dynamic gesture of the rim, reminiscent of an unfolding petal or the play of light across glass. Under daylight, the orange glass seems to glow from within, reflecting a time when Polish artistic glass sought its own language amid international trends
