This ceramic wall clock, produced by UPG Halle in Germany during the 1950s, encapsulates the essence of mid-century modern design. Its silhouette features a trapezoidal outline with gently rounded edges, harmoniously blending glossy white ceramic with a soft yellow gradient at the center. The circular dial is accentuated by a prominent, gold-toned brass bezel, and under the gently convex glass dome, minimalist black numerals and hour markers are laid out with clarity. Brass hands reflect the elegance of the bezel, while the overall proportions highlight the rhythmic simplicity typical of the era. The dial measures 18 cm in diameter, and the clock as a whole is 22 cm high, 28 cm wide, and 5 cm deep. The mechanism has been updated to an electronic quartz movement powered by a single AA battery. The ceramic body and glass are intact, free from chips or cracks; the dial surface displays visible signs of use consistent with its age. Condition: good – all ceramic and glass elements preserved, while authentic timeworn marks are evident on the dial.
