ABOUT PRODUCTID 29675
This wall lamp, designed by Helena Tynell for Limburg in the 1970s, exemplifies German mid-century modern craftsmanship. The lamp’s body is composed of thick, amber-golden glass, featuring a pronounced bubble pattern on the front and ribbed vertical lines along the sides, creating a sense of three-dimensional depth. The high-gloss finish of the glass subtly amplifies the light, while a sturdy metal base in matte gold or brass tone completes the composition. Its form is perfectly round with a gentle dome, measuring 20 cm in diameter and 11 cm in depth. This model can be used both as a wall sconce or a ceiling light. The construction is robust and well-executed, confirmed by the original label and manufacturer’s mark. The lamp is in very good vintage condition, with only minimal patina and slight traces of use on the metal base.
Lamps from this series evoke the spirit of the 1970s, an era when light and form began to command the narrative in interior design. The bubble glass shade, reminiscent of effervescent champagne, captures the experimental mood of the time—
