This wall lamp by Palwa exemplifies German mid-century modern and Hollywood Regency design from the 1970s. Its structure features a circular, gold-plated brass frame set with large, faceted high-transparency crystals, each meticulously mounted in a grid of fine brass rings. The geometric regularity of the repeating round crystal motifs is accentuated by the glossy finish of both crystal and metal, with the warm golden hue softened by the clarity of the glass. The lamp is fitted with a single E14 socket and, thanks to its compact dimensions (21 cm diameter, 12 cm depth), can function as both a wall sconce and a small ceiling light. The piece bears the manufacturer’s label. It is preserved in excellent condition, with only a subtle, age-appropriate patina on the brass and no visible damage or repairs.
