The Frame Black M wall light, designed by Violaine d'Harcourt, combines a matte black lacquered steel frame with a softly undulating, translucent paper panel in a warm off-white hue. The rectangular, sharply defined steel outline emphasizes geometric discipline, while the central paper element, marked by its subtle, wavy texture, gently diffuses the light to create a soft glow. The absence of visible fasteners and the clean lines reinforce the architectural coherence of the design. Each sconce is handcrafted in a Lisbon-based atelier, ensuring precise detailing and refined finishing. The fixture measures 42 × 28 × 11 cm. Frame Black M communicates a sense of stillness and balance. Its minimalist visual language evokes the impression of a modernist architectural model, where the steel frame sets boundaries and the paper surface brings softness and illumination. The interplay of materials creates tension between graphic precision and organic lightness. Light emerging from behind the textured paper resembles a subtle shadow moving across the wall, lending the interior a calm, contemplative atmosphere. The sconce works well as a standalone accent on a neutral wall in a living room, hallway, or home gallery. It can be combined with other lights from the Frames collection to create a layered lighting composition. It pairs well with furniture featuring clean lines, raw textiles, or stone, as well as artworks leaning against the wall. Surrounded by matte surfaces and neutral colors, the lamp highlights its architectural outline, while daylight brings out the delicate paper texture.
