ABOUT PRODUCTID 13149
This wall mirror from 1950s Czechoslovakia represents the spirit of postwar Central European modernism. The glass surface, in a cool silver hue, forms an asymmetric, gently trapezoidal panel: it measures 66 cm wide on one side and tapers to 57 cm on the other, subtly narrowing towards the bottom. The frameless construction is highlighted by precisely bevelled edges running along the perimeter, which bend the light and create the illusion of a delicate frame without an actual border. Condition: very good, with original, natural patina and authentic traces of age.Within this asymmetric pane resonates the voice of 1950s Czechoslovakia, when modernism embraced everyday life with restrained boldness. The mirror speaks in the language of glass—cool, minimalist, intentionally understated. Its subtly irregular line echoes the experimental attitude of the postwar era. The absence of a visible frame lends the piece a sense of stillness and focus, turning each reflected gesture into a quiet, modernist ritual. The nuanced surface hints at a long domestic history, marking
