ABOUT PRODUCTID 38124
This large wall mirror by Rampel Designs is a study in sculptural presence and artisanal detail. Its wide, round frame crafted from solid wood – in a warm, medium to dark brown – displays pronounced natural grain, with subtle shifts in tone and pattern that highlight the hand-selected segments. The frame’s profile flows smoothly around the convex glass, finished in a satin, semi-matte sheen that draws out the depth of the wood without excessive gloss. At the center, a panoramic convex mirror (approximately 60 cm in diameter) offers a broad, almost cinematic reflection, visually expanding the space. The joinery is precise and invisible from the front, while the rear features a solid wooden backing and a discreet metal hanging system. Produced in Kenya during the 1990s by Rampel Designs, led by Marc Rampel, this piece draws inspiration from Art Deco, mid-century modern, and organic sculpture. The condition is described as ideal – both the wood and convex glass show only the slightest, age-appropriate traces of use. This mirror echoes the spirit of the 1990s, a time marked by a conscious return to bold geometry and noble materials. Its sculptural, ornament-free frame seems to gently embrace both light and image
