ABOUT PRODUCTID 41966
This large, asymmetrical crystal wall mirror in rockabilly style is a distinctive example of German 1960s design. The high-quality crystal glass is encased in a deep, glossy black frame that subtly reflects light and accentuates the elongated, softly rounded form. Its asymmetrical silhouette and solid construction reference the modernist aesthetics of mid-century design, while the clear, neutral mirror surface remains free from visible scratches or chips. Discreet mounting hardware at the top and bottom ensures a cohesive, harmonious appearance. The mirror is preserved in good condition—no damage, cracks, or signs of restoration, with only minimal traces of use typical for the era.The mirror’s form seems to narrate the spirit of the 1960s—a time when the boundaries between function and artistic expression blurred. Its asymmetric line and striking black frame evoke the rockabilly era’s sense of playful boldness and freedom. The reflective surface captures and suspends fleeting images of everyday life, echoing the vitality and transience of that decade. This mirror could be paired with light, geometric mid-century modern furniture or serve as a striking accent in a classic living room furnished with natural wood and muted textiles. It would work well above a console or low sideboard, where its asymmetry creates an intriguing visual axis. Consider combining it with a lamp with a metallic base or ceramic accessories to emphasize the depth of the black frame and the clarity of the crystal glass.
