The TAFLA C Transitions 'Dark Matter' mirror by Zieta Studio is an object where form and technology converge. Crafted from lacquered stainless steel, its surface presents a deep, mirror-black finish. The organic, irregular edges and polished, fluid plane are achieved using FiDU technology, in which the metal is inflated under high pressure to create characteristic, gentle deformations. The C4 size measures 100 cm in height, 50 cm in width, and 6 cm in depth, with a weight of 5 kg. No visible fastenings or joints disrupt the purity of the design, resulting in a sculptural accent with a distinctly contemporary presence. The dark surface evokes a mineral or a droplet paused in motion. Light reflections and warped images create a sense of depth, while the line between frame and mirror dissolves into a seamless illusion. This is an object that simultaneously reflects and absorbs its environment, conjuring associations with cosmic matter and abstract landscapes. TAFLA C can be hung vertically or horizontally in a living room, hallway, or bedroom. It pairs well with minimalist architecture, concrete or raw wood, as well as other pieces with biomorphic shapes. Combining it with matte or textured surfaces highlights the gloss and depth of the black; side lighting accentuates the metal’s subtle undulations, while a neutral color palette allows the mirror to take center stage.
