This ceramic wall sconce, designed by Adam Sadulski in Poland during the 1970s, embodies the distinct language of mid-century modern lighting from that era. The lamp’s elongated hexagonal form is defined by pronounced geometric lines and a central, raised ridge, creating an architectural sense of dynamism. Entirely crafted from glazed ceramic, its surface presents a gradient that transitions from deep, saturated brown at the edges to a golden amber hue at the center, highlighting the three-dimensionality of its silhouette. At the heart, the bulb is partially concealed beneath a metallic gold cap, serving both practical and decorative functions. The sconce includes mounting holes for wall installation and may also be used as a table lamp. It is designed for E14 bulbs. The piece has been preserved in very good vintage condition, with no visible damage or signs of wear. This lamp carries the spirit of the 1970s, when Polish design charted its own course between function and sculptural presence. The glossy ceramic, bold geometry, and warm amber glow evoke a period in which light and material were elevated beyond the merely practical, taking on an almost artistic significance. The sconce seems to tell the story of interiors where illumination did more than dispel darkness—it revealed lines and textures, casting reflections and subtle gradients across the glazed surface. The sconce may be paired with other objects of striking form—serving as a single accent on a neutral wall in a minimalist living room, or as part of a larger composition with vintage posters and graphic art. It can be combined with furniture made of natural wood with visible grain, or warm-toned metal accents, to emphasize its decorative function. Mid-century modern interiors, collector’s spaces, or eclectic arrangements would
