ABOUT PRODUCTID 1358
This wall sconce by Polam, dating from the 1960s, is an example of Polish lighting design shaped by the mid-century modern influence. The construction features a solid brass wall rosette, a horizontal arm, and a central ring joining two hemispherical glass elements. The clear glass shade, cut in a faceted diamond pattern, diffuses light and highlights the three-dimensional texture and subtle sheen. The harmonious, geometric form and symmetrical layout reflect the era’s functional approach to design. Inside the glass capsule, two E14 bulb sockets are discreetly housed. The brass retains its mirror-like luster without signs of wear or dulling, and the glass remains free from damage. The sconce is preserved in very good condition, with original components and fully functional electrical installation. This sconce recalls the spirit of the 1960s, when Polish lighting manufacturers drew inspiration from global trends while maintaining their own craftsmanship. It works well above a sofa in the living room, in an entryway, or as accent lighting in a bedroom—especially in spaces featuring natural wood, light textiles, and a muted color palette. It is worth combining with other brass-toned details or
