This 1960s brass wall sconce, produced by the Elmed Cooperative in Zabrze, exemplifies modernist design with a distinct New Look influence. The structure is built upon a rectangular brass plate, featuring a raised grid of squares that serves as the backdrop for two cylindrical light sources. Each cylinder is adorned with horizontal bands and subtle perforations at the ends, adding a rhythmic geometric accent and contributing to the diffusion of light. The polished brass gives the piece a warm, golden hue and a high-gloss, mirror-like finish. Equipped with two E27-compatible bulbs, all mounting and construction elements demonstrate the precision characteristic of mid-20th-century Polish manufacturing.
