This wall sconce, produced in the 1960s by Polam in Poland, stands as a distinct example of Space Age design inspired by the era’s fascination with space exploration and new technologies. The main body is molded plastic in a vivid, saturated yellow high-gloss finish. At its center, a prominent chrome-plated dome with a mirror-like surface is framed by a metallic ring, while two cylindrical, matte-finished metal rods on each side serve both structural and decorative purposes. The overall silhouette is a softly rounded cylinder with gentle curves, characteristic of mid-century modern and Space Age aesthetics. The sconce features a black power cord with a European plug and an E27 bulb socket within the central dome.
