ABOUT PRODUCTID 15334
This early 20th-century metal wine cooler exemplifies mature Neo-Classical craftsmanship. Made from pressed galvanized metal, it features a dark grey, warmly toned patina with a matte finish and understated reflections. The vessel’s balanced proportions are accentuated by decorative banding at the upper rim, adding measured refinement to its form. The upper section is embossed with an oval horizontal motif, while the lower part is adorned with rhythmic vertical reliefs reminiscent of shells or classical arcades. Elongated, sturdy handles with gentle curves and decorative connectors evoke classical urns, emphasizing both function and ornamental detail. The construction reveals visible seams and minor traces of use; the finely grained surface shows subtle discolorations and light scratches that enhance its genuine character. There are no major dents—proof of careful previous handling. Condition: very good—showing slight wear typical of antique metal, but free of significant defects. This vessel speaks in the voice of the late 19th and early 20th centuries—a period when the ritual of presenting wine underscored the importance of gatherings and the sensory allure of hospitality.
