The 'Remer' wine goblet, produced in 1895 by Glasfabrik Theresienthal under Michael von Poschinger in Bavaria, is a fine example of late 19th-century Art Nouveau art glass. The spherical bowl, crafted from clear, hand-blown glass, features a finely polished rim and a subtle engraving indicating capacity. The stem stands out for its distinctive, closed funnel shape, filled with air and made from olive-green glass, which transitions seamlessly from the transparent bowl. A wide, stable base, also in olive-green glass, grounds the form, while the surface remains smooth and glossy, free from visible signs of wear, chips, or restoration. The goblet’s elegant proportions—tall stem and balanced geometric silhouette—are typical of the Art Nouveau era. The precision of the connections and the harmony of the form attest to the skill of German glass artisans.
