This metal piggy bank from the 1920s, designed by Jan Sopyło in Lviv, takes the form of a rectangular chest with a distinctive brickwork pattern on all sides, reminiscent of classic treasure chests. Its surface is rendered in a cool, silvery-grey metal with a matte, gently aged finish, highlighted by a subtle patina and darker areas in the recesses, enhancing depth and detail. Resting on the lid is a three-dimensional, realistically sculpted wolf figure, complete with visible fur texture and expressive facial features; the sculptural quality of this element draws the eye and gives the piece a unique character. The construction is both decorative and functional: the coin slot is positioned on top, right beside the wolf, and a small metal loop on the side allows a padlock to be attached for added security.
