This late 19th-century German women's snuff box, crafted from 800 silver, is an example of classic rococo revival style. Compact in form (3.5 × 3.5 cm, height 1.7 cm), the box features softly rounded corners and a square silhouette. Its surface is adorned with intricate asymmetrical rocaille, floral, and foliate motifs, executed using fine chasing and repoussé techniques. The lid is crowned by a central blank cartouche, intended for engraving initials or a monogram, and encircled by ornate rococo relief. Inside, the box is gilded, and the hinged lid is seamlessly integrated into the design. The silver exhibits a warm, slightly yellowed hue and an even, noble patina; the texture is predominantly smooth with raised decorations, while the edges show gentle wear.
