This vintage workshop and office chair by Sedus, produced in Germany in the 1970s, exemplifies industrial design where functional clarity meets robust craftsmanship. The chair combines a powder-coated, matte black metal five-legged base with a seat and backrest crafted from beech wood, featuring a warm brown tone and visible natural grain with a semi-matte finish. The seat and backrest are ergonomically contoured, outlined by a black trim that echoes the base, while exposed metal screws emphasize the chair’s industrial character. Multiple adjustment options are available, including seat height (42–56 cm), as well as the height and depth of the backrest, ensuring versatility and comfort for demanding environments. The overall structure is heavy and stable (10 kg), lending itself to intensive, long-term use.
