This German Art Deco desk writing set from the 1920s comprises three pieces: a paper knife (24 cm), an envelope opener (14.5 cm), and a wax seal stamp (height 9.6 cm, diameter 2 cm), all housed in their original fitted case. The utensils are crafted from deep black, high-gloss bakelite with shimmering multicolored mosaic inlays in blue, green, red, and silver hues. Each handle is adorned with a geometric band, typical of the Art Deco period, while the blades and seal head are made from gold-toned bronze with a lightly polished surface. All pieces fit precisely into a navy blue, textured case lined with cream satin and decorative edging. The precision of the bakelite-to-metal joints and the careful attention to finishing reflect high craftsmanship of the era.
