This XL flush mount or wall lamp, designed by Helena Tynell for the German manufacturer Limburg in the late 1960s/70s, features a hand-blown light amber bubble glass shade with a pronounced relief of regularly arranged oval and round protrusions. The glass presents a warm, golden-amber hue enhanced by a glossy finish, amplifying the play of light and emphasizing the three-dimensional bubble texture. The lamp’s form is a shallow, wide dome with harmonious proportions, sitting close to the ceiling—a hallmark of mid-century modern aesthetics. The metal base is designed to remain almost invisible, allowing the decorative glass to take center stage; no visible fastenings or hardware disrupt the sculptural purity.
