ABOUT PRODUCTID 1857
This pedestal bowl, designed by Wiesława Gołajewska for the Pruszków Tableware Porcelain Factory in the 1960s, exemplifies Polish mid-century modernist design. The form is defined by a wide, shallow bowl supported by three sturdy, conical legs that seamlessly integrate into the overall shape. Crafted from glazed stoneware in a cool, off-white hue with subtle grey undertones, the surface features the era’s signature ‘running glaze’ technique. The bowl would work well as a stand-alone accent on an oak table or a 1960s sideboard, drawing out the light and texture of its surroundings. It can be paired with minimalist ceramics or neutral-toned glass, complemented by abstract art or textiles with pronounced weaves. Within mid-century modern interiors or among
