The large Mandruzatto centerpiece bowl from Murano, crafted circa 1950, exemplifies the sculptural quality of 1950s Italian art glass. Made from thick, mass-colored crystal glass using Flavio Poli’s signature 'sommerso' technique, the piece showcases a subtle gradient that transitions from deep cobalt blue to lighter blue and milky white tones at its core. The bowl’s elongated, dynamically curved arms spiral gracefully at the ends, while its asymmetrical, undulating edges create a striking sense of movement and lightness. The base is precisely ground flat, and the original Mandruzatto factory label attests to its authenticity. Measuring 20 cm in height, 52 cm in length, and 23 cm in width, the bowl remains in excellent condition with no signs of wear, chips, or restoration.
