ABOUT PRODUCTID 5712
This large, heavy ceramic vase was designed by Alvino Bagni for Raymor in Italy during the 1960s. The body is crafted from glazed ceramics, featuring a semi-gloss finish in shades of turquoise, green, earthy brown, and off-white, creating a marbled and subtly crackled effect. The surface is adorned with partially three-dimensional, hand-formed motifs of stylized leaves and geometric patterns. Its classic amphora-inspired silhouette, with a wide flared rim and two ornate, scroll-shaped handles, emphasizes its sculptural presence. Both the base and the rim are accentuated by horizontal bands, lending the piece an architectural rhythm. The vase's proportions are well-balanced: height 25 cm, maximum diameter 20 cm. The overall condition is very good, with only minor signs of use typical for vintage ceramics from this era. Mid-century Italian ceramics express themselves in this piece through a modern sensibility that blends tradition with formal innovation. The turquoise glaze evokes Mediterranean light, while the raised leaves and geometric bands recall motifs from ancient amphorae, interpreted through a contemporary lens. Every irregularity and nuance in the relief tells the story of skilled hands and a time when craftsmanship and design vision converged in a single object. The intentional patina and gentle signs of age make the vase appear suspended in time, as if it carries a fragment of Italian cultural history into the present. This vase could serve as a focal point on a dining table or console in a living room, where its striking silhouette and rich texture would stand out against smooth backgrounds. It fits seamlessly into
