The Klepsydra Soft chair, designed by Krystian Kowalski for 366 Concept, is a contemporary reinterpretation of Teresa Kruszewska’s iconic 1963 project. Its construction is defined by precise proportions and repetitive elements: the frame, crafted from oak veneer in a warm, natural finish, is complemented by a seat upholstered in sand-colored recycled wool. The chair’s defining feature is its hourglass-like silhouette, with a gently tapered waist and a continuous, arched backrest seamlessly extending into the armrests. The broad back and rounded armrest ring offer forearm support, while the padded seat with an 18 mm thick insert enhances comfort for extended dining or conversation. The joinery is meticulously executed with no visible hardware, emphasizing craftsmanship and the purity of the form. The chair's visual language speaks of balance—between sculptural precision and understated hospitality. The fluid line of the backrest and arm ring evokes the gentle movement of an hourglass, while the natural oak grain and soft upholstery convey a sense of warmth and calm.
