This original late-19th-century Christmas tree stand is crafted from cast iron, exemplifying German Art Nouveau sensibilities. Its construction is based on a square base measuring 25 × 25 cm and 14 cm in height, featuring gently curved legs and richly ornamented borders with zigzag and diamond patterns typical of late Art Nouveau. The central cylinder, vertically ribbed to accommodate a tree trunk, is fitted with three decorative screws for stabilization. The stand’s surface displays a cool, dark grey hue with a matte finish and subtle silvery accents highlighted on raised decorative edges. The crisp casting lines and smooth, lightly grained iron texture underline the refined workmanship of the period. Fully restored, the stand is preserved in very good condition, showing no notable signs of use or corrosion.
