The 'Julita' coffee set, designed by E. Ruszczyński in 1957 for the Wawel Porcelain Factory in Wałbrzych, stands as a distinctive example of mid-century Polish design. The porcelain features a deep, high-gloss black as the primary background, animated by abstract, geometric patches in pastel yellow, light blue, and vivid red—a composition straddling the avant-garde and the so-called 'pikas' style. The interiors of the cups and the upper surfaces of the saucers are crisp white, creating a clear chromatic contrast. The forms are elegantly elongated, with gently curved handles and slender spouts, while the surfaces are highly polished and finished with precision.
