ABOUT PRODUCTID 37674
The 'Opole' coffee set for six, produced in 1963 by Zakłady Porcelitu Stołowego Tułowice, is a hallmark of Polish utilitarian modernism from the 1960s. The set comprises a tall coffee pot (26 cm), creamer (10 cm), sugar bowl (12 cm), six cups (5.6 cm), and six saucers (diameter 11.5 cm). The dominant feature is the deep, glossy black porcelain, hand-painted with geometric decorations in vivid red and white. The interiors of the cups are finished with a reflective gold glaze, while the slender handles and spouts are accented in white and gold. The surfaces are smooth and lustrous; all elements are in very good condition, with no signs of damage or restoration and the gilding intact. The decoration was executed by an external workshop commissioned by the manufacturer. The listed price includes the complete set—all items described. The modernist spirit of the 1960s is tangible in every detail—from the assertive color contrasts to the bold geometry of the patterns. The 'Opole' set speaks with the optimism and avant-garde energy of its era: the glossy black and dynamic motifs evoke postwar Polish design, while the golden interiors of the cups subtly allude to a search for contemporary luxury. Each piece seems to tell a story of a time when modernity was not only a style but also a promise of a better future. This set can be used for everyday coffee gatherings or as a decorative highlight in a display cabinet or on a living room shelf. It pairs well with furniture featuring clean, geometric lines—whether in mid-century modern arrangements or minimalist, contemporary interiors. It can be combined with
