The AXO desk lamp is a design by Patryk Magiera, created for the Thoro brand as the debut piece of the YOUNG LIGHT collection. The lamp stands out with its geometric composition: a cylindrical lampshade flows seamlessly into a conical base, forming a compact, well-proportioned shape with a height of 28 cm and a width of 20 cm. The vivid red matte surface is contrasted by subtle white lines at the lampshade’s edges. A black textile power cord discreetly accentuates the lamp’s contemporary character. Constructed from PLA—a bioplastic with a smooth, slightly satin texture—the lamp features a single light point for a G9 bulb (up to 8 W), and the upper cover allows adjustment of the light output. AXO’s form communicates freshness and discipline—restraint in expression highlights the harmonious interplay of color, line, and detail. The red, offset by white accents, acts as a graphic statement, while the geometric silhouette evokes minimalist functional sculpture. The overall aesthetic resonates with contemporary modernism and a touch of Scandinavian order. AXO can be placed on a desk in a home office or living room, where it serves as a strong color accent.
