The CHAIN 158 pendant lamp is a contemporary design from Thoro’s collection, inspired by the form of an industrial chain link. It consists of five elongated, rounded modules in matte ochre red, connected into a linear composition. Between the segments are cylindrical, frosted white diffusers that house an integrated LED light source. The construction is made of powder-coated steel with a smooth, matte finish. The lamp is suspended by two thin, black cables, giving it a sense of lightness and fluidity. The entire structure is free of visible fasteners, with clean, precise lines emphasizing the rhythmic arrangement and high-quality craftsmanship. The project communicates calm and order—the tight rhythm of the links, defined by consistent geometry, evokes associations with architectural clarity and the restraint of modern utilitarian objects. The matte ochre red warms the form, while soft, bidirectional light reinforces the impression of flow and harmony. The lamp can be read as a luminous line floating in space—its presence is balanced, and detailing is kept to a minimum. CHAIN 158 works well over a long dining table or in a representative living room, where its linear layout highlights the axis of the room. It can be paired with simple furniture in natural veneers or black metal to accentuate its graphic silhouette. Surrounded by light, smooth surfaces and textiles in tones of gray, beige, or muted green, the ochre accent gains depth. Diffused, low lighting builds intimacy, and the composition is best complemented by minimal, simply shaped décor. The lamp features an integrated LED light source with 19.5 W power and 3000K color temperature, emitting light in two directions. Light intensity is adjustable via the PUSH-DIMM/DALI system.
