The Cherry Plate poster by Antti Kekki features a composition built on bold, geometric forms that define a contemporary minimalist visual language. Set against a warm, off-white background, a matte light blue rectangle anchors the center of the design. Along its sides, six irregular red circles create a rhythmic symmetry. Within the blue field, dynamic black shapes—resembling stylized leaves or stems—intersect and overlap, introducing movement and contrast. The entire image is constructed from flat, saturated color fields with no gradients or textures, emphasizing a collage-like, cut-paper effect. The poster is printed on paper and measures 50 × 70 cm. The design evokes the joyful spontaneity of picking and eating fresh fruit, with playful color blocks recalling a sense of childlike creativity. There is a clear dialogue between geometric order and energetic gesture—red circles suggest fruit, the blue rectangle becomes a tray or plate, and the black lines add a sense of motion, like traces of hand-cut paper. The work communicates lightness and freshness, while maintaining a balanced discipline of form. It can be paired with simple furnishings in light, natural finishes or introduced into interiors accented with mid-century modern elements, where its geometric composition will resonate with other wall art. The poster works well as a standalone piece on a muted wall or as part of a gallery arrangement with other abstract graphics. Combining it with textiles in shades of blue or red and matte ceramics will further highlight its contemporary character and harmonious color palette.
