The RONDO Transitions 'Ciemna Materia' mirror by Zieta Studio is a 120 cm wall object crafted from stainless steel using innovative FiDU technology. The circular, torus-like frame surrounds a large central opening, creating the effect of an inflated, cushion-like form. The surface transitions from a matte, deep black at the outer edge to smoky graphite tones toward the center, with a subtle satin sheen highlighting organic undulations and irregularities characteristic of the handcrafting process. The inner rim is highly polished, offering a mirror-like contrast to the soft gradient of the remaining surface. The construction appears seamless, with no visible fastenings, underscoring the experimental, collectible nature of the piece. RONDO evokes associations with an object suspended between the worlds of art and functional design. Its form hints at cosmic phenomena—as if dark matter absorbs light and reflections, turning everyday reality into an abstract composition. The gentle deformations on the steel surface create a mesmerizing play of shadows and highlights, lending the material a surprising sense of lightness and movement.
