The Linear Stem Slate rug (120x180 cm) is a hand-tufted model crafted from high-quality wool, designed by Orla Kiely. Its rectangular form features a repeating motif of stylized stems and leaves in a light beige shade, set against a matte, slate-grey background. The crisply defined pattern underscores the rug’s graphic identity, while the thick, soft pile delivers a plush underfoot sensation. Neatly finished edges and a dense structure reflect meticulous craftsmanship. The use of natural wool ensures colourfastness and environmental friendliness. The rug’s minimalist composition creates a calm rhythm, evoking the linear play of light and shadow. The vertical stem and leaf motif, characteristic of Orla Kiely’s work, introduces a sense of graphic restraint and organic order. The matte texture and soft pile impart a sense of warmth, while the contrast between beige and grey gives the design a timeless presence. Linear Stem Slate will work well in a spacious living room with light walls, serving as a distinctive yet understated base for furniture with clean lines. It can be paired with a minimalist sofa in grey or beige tones, as well as accents in light wood, black metal, or ceramics in natural hues. Combined with gently textured textiles and diffuse lighting, the rug reveals a subtle pattern rhythm and adds warmth to contemporary interiors. The rug is made from natural wool with a pile weight of 4500 g/m2 and a thick, soft texture. Intended for indoor use, it is hand-tufted, lies flat on the floor, and maintains colour durability. The material is pleasant to the touch and environmentally friendly.
