The Optical Oval Green/Cream 157707 rug, measuring 120 × 180 cm, is a design by Orla Kiely crafted from high-quality wool. Its matte surface and dense, plush pile provide a resilient, cushioned feel underfoot. The composition features four vertical columns of green oval motifs set against a creamy beige background. The geometric pattern draws from modernist and vintage aesthetics, with neatly finished edges and balanced proportions that highlight thoughtful craftsmanship and considered design. The Optical Oval motif evokes the spirit of graphic experimentation from the 1960s and 1970s, where repetition creates a sense of movement and order. The soft wool dampens sound, while the vivid color contrast introduces visual energy without sacrificing clarity. The rug’s character sits at the intersection of playful form and structured rhythm, making it a striking yet unobtrusive feature in the space. This rug works well in a living room, where it can serve as the main color accent against neutral furnishings or minimalist sofas in white and grey. It may be paired with light lacquered tables or accessories made of glass and natural wood. For a cohesive arrangement, consider combining it with textiles in cream, white, or green hues, and complementing with diffused lighting—the matte wool texture will accentuate the depth of the pattern. The rug is made from natural wool with a weight of 4500 g/m², ensuring durability and resistance to deformation. The plush pile is environmentally friendly and maintains colorfastness over time. Intended for indoor use, it sits flat against the floor, and care consists of regular vacuuming. The manufacturer provides a two-year quality guarantee.
