ABOUT PRODUCTID 38510
This crystal tea caddy, designed by A. Husmann and produced by the renowned Moser glassworks in Karlovy Vary in the 1930s, exemplifies the finest Bohemian craftsmanship of the Art Deco era. Measuring 13.5 × 10.5 × 10.5 cm, the piece captivates with its deep, ruby red color and precise, geometric facet cutting. Both body and lid are crafted from thick, heavy crystal, their angular, sculptural planes playing with light and shadow. The entire surface is highly polished, enhancing the transparency and brilliance of the glass, while the sharp, faceted lines evoke the bold aesthetics of Art Deco. The base bears the Moser signature, confirming authenticity. The condition is excellent – there are no signs of use, chips, or restoration. This piece echoes the voice of the 1930s, an era where function embraced geometric daring and the luxury of color. The ruby hue, enclosed within the substantial crystal, conjures the refined ambiance of salons and elegant gatherings, where even everyday objects gained the status of small works of art. The faceted surfaces refract light like a kaleidoscope, while the precision of the cut tells a story of a time when every detail was intentional. The tea caddy can be placed as a focal point on a classic console or a contemporary bar. It would work well in an Art Deco-inspired setting, alongside geometric mirrors or high-gloss veneered furniture. Pairing it with other historical glass accents – tumblers, vases, or crystal decanters – will underscore its collectible nature. In a minimalist interior, the ruby crystal becomes a striking accent, drawing the eye and lending a sense of noble depth.
