ABOUT PRODUCTID 33770
This pressed glass tea caddy from Ząbkowice, dating to circa 1900–1920, embodies the craftsmanship of early 20th-century European decorative arts. Made of cool-toned, transparent blue glass with a glossy finish, it features a compact, heart-shaped form. The lid is adorned with an intricate relief of geometric and floral motifs, reminiscent of cut glass, while the sides display pronounced vertical ribbing for added visual and tactile texture. Silvery-white metal fittings, including the hinge and clasp, provide a refined accent and secure the container with a practical latch. The overall style is classic with distinct Art Nouveau influences, as seen in the organic curves and ornamental detailing. Proportions are harmonious and compact: height 7 cm, width 13.5 cm, length 12.5 cm. The piece is in very good condition—glass is free from chips and cracks, with only minor signs of use; the metal shows a gentle, age-appropriate patina while remaining fully functional. This tea caddy speaks with the voice of an era when everyday rituals were elevated by the artistry of glassmaking. Its blue hue, still vivid after more than a century, echoes the Art Nouveau fascination with nature and romantic forms. Light passing through the ribbed sides creates a subtle interplay of reflections, as if the object preserves a trace of early 20th-century elegance. The aged metal fittings, quietly bearing the mark of time, suggest stories of tea gatherings and intimate conversations once held around the table. The Ząbkow
