ABOUT PRODUCTID 33766
This tea caddy, produced by the Ząbkowice Glassworks at the turn of the 20th century, stands as a testament to the era’s balance between utility and ornamentation. Its body, crafted from thick, pressed clear glass with a cool, slightly bluish undertone, presents a crisp, almost crystalline impression. The surface is richly embellished with raised geometric and organic patterns: a regular lattice motif on the sides and a central rosette on the lid. The lid is set in a silvered brass mount, subtly patinated and fitted with a clasp finished with two small spherical knobs. Distinct molded feet at each corner provide both stability and a decorative touch. The overall condition is very good – there are no chips, cracks, or signs of heavy use, and the metal fitting displays only gentle traces of age. This object tells its story in the quiet voice of an era when the ritual of tea gained a setting worthy of daily ceremony, and every utilitarian detail became a showcase for craftsmanship and aesthetic ambition. The pressed glass, sparkling with light and reflecting the surroundings in rhythmic geometry, recalls the elegance of early 20th-century parlors and dining rooms. The tea caddy seems to whisper of morning calm and evening conversation, of the small gestures that shaped domestic life for generations. The caddy may serve as a practical container for tea, sugar, or confections, or as a standalone decorative accent on a kitchen shelf, in a display cabinet, or on a dining table. Pairing it with porcelain tea sets or silver spoons will highlight its historical character. It will find a natural place in classic, eclectic, or Art Deco-inspired
