ABOUT PRODUCTID 12427
This early 20th-century Art Nouveau toothpick holder, attributed to the renowned Norblin manufactory, is made of silver-plated copper. The form is inspired by classical urns, with a subtly flared rim flowing into a rounded body set on a solid, circular pedestal. Two slender, upward-curving handles with spiral ends accentuate the organic, fluid character typical of Art Nouveau. The matte surface displays a pronounced, noble patina and irregular darkening, particularly noticeable at the base and handles. Fine scratches and signs of age are visible throughout, yet they do not disturb the overall harmony of the piece. The ornamentation is limited to the fluid lines and balanced proportions, while the structure is solid, with well-integrated joints. There are no traces of repairs or damage—the condition is very good, with natural patina and only minor marks of use confirming the object's authenticity and age. This modest piece captures the poetic spirit of Art Nouveau, when everyday objects became small works of art. The toothpick holder, shaped with soft fluidity and finished with spiral handles, evokes the atmosphere of the early 20th century—a period when function and form merged in harmonious unity. The patina and gentle discoloration are like subtle recollections of bygone decades, when such an object might have witnessed elegant gatherings or intimate domestic rituals, quietly emphasizing the importance of detail. The toothpick holder may be displayed on a living room console, an antique sideboard, or within a showcase of Art Nouveau metalwork and glass. It would serve as a refined accent in interiors inspired by Art Nouveau, in eclectic collector's spaces, or in classic settings where the value of fine craftsmanship is appreciated. It
