This umbrella stand from the 1960s exemplifies European modernist design with pronounced industrial influences, produced in Germany. The structure is based on three elegantly bent, matte-black steel legs with outward-spread feet to ensure stability. Its functional basket is framed by two broad copper bands: the upper band is distinctly deeper and marked by a golden-brown patina, while the lower band is shorter and supports the structure. Steel slats between the copper rings lend the piece an airy, open character in line with mid-century minimalism. The handle on the top, crafted from lacquered wood and subtly tapered, offers a comfortable grip and gently introduces a natural material accent. At the base sits a circular, polished metal drip tray with a mirror finish. Most surfaces are matte or brushed, except for the glossy wooden handle and reflective tray. Construction details such as visible screws and careful rivet joins reinforce the object's mechanical, industrial aesthetic. The item is in very good condition, with only slight shades of patina on the copper and steel, consistent with its age, and no signs of damage or later restoration.
