Frame Miroir S by Violaine d'Harcourt is a wall sconce defined by its rectangular geometry and the interplay of mirror-polished steel with softly textured white paper. The outer frame is crafted from highly reflective, glassy steel, emphasizing precise lines and seamless edges. The central panel features a paper shade with delicate horizontal waves, diffusing the light into an ambient glow. The construction is pared down to essentials—no visible fasteners and a flush mount reinforce the integrated appearance. Each piece is handcrafted in a Lisbon atelier, underlining the studio’s commitment to craftsmanship and detail. The combination of cool metal and organic paper creates a quiet dialogue between strength and fragility. The sconce conveys restraint and calm, referencing the vocabulary of modernism and minimalism. The wave of paper softens the strict line of the steel frame, introducing a subtle tension—light here becomes more than function, taking on a poetic nuance. Frame Miroir S works well in contemporary living rooms, entryways, or bedrooms, where pure form and thoughtful material contrasts are valued. It may be paired with raw wood, glass, or other fixtures with simple lines. Combining it with neutral textiles such as grey or off-white and matte surfaces will highlight the mirror steel’s reflections. The sconce can be displayed either solo or in a series, creating a graphic accent against a smooth wall.
