The Alky lounge chair, designed by Giancarlo Piretti in 1969 and currently produced by Anonima Castelli, stands as a groundbreaking example of late 1960s upholstered seating. The chair features a fully upholstered structure in a cool, medium grey argento boucle fabric. The matte, soft texture of the upholstery contrasts subtly with the polished aluminum caps on the legs. The seat, backrest, and legs merge into a single, sculptural form defined by smooth, flowing lines. Generous proportions include a wide, low seat and gently profiled armrests that transition seamlessly into the legs. The interior is filled with polyurethane foam supported by an internal system of elastic bands, providing both comfort and stability.
