The LS24 armchair, designed by Mario Viezzoli for Anonima Castelli, exemplifies late 20th-century Italian minimalism in a contemporary edition. The construction features a wide seat fully upholstered in deep charcoal boucle with a matte finish. The backrest and armrests emerge seamlessly from the seat, forming gentle, rounded curves that emphasize the chair’s sculptural quality. The entire form is supported by four highly polished chromed steel legs, with the front pair subtly arched. The proportions are balanced: width 60.7 cm, depth 59.7 cm, total height 76 cm. The armchair stands out for its enveloping, soft form and comfortable support for the back and arms, while retaining a sense of visual lightness through the interplay of textured fabric and reflective metal. The LS24’s visual language is a play of contrasts: the cool graphite of the fabric and the shine of chrome create an atmosphere of restrained calm and subtle playfulness. The smooth transitions and flowing lines evoke an almost organic silhouette, as if the chair were a single folded sheet.
