The Klepsydra Timber chair, designed by Krystian Kowalski for 366 Concept, is a contemporary reinterpretation of a modernist classic, inspired by Teresa Kruszewska’s 1963 design. The entire piece is crafted from three-dimensionally molded plywood veneered in light oak, finished in a natural, honey-brown tone with a satin-matte sheen. The visible wood grain emphasizes the chair’s organic character, while a subtle indentation in the seat provides ergonomic support. The backrest flows seamlessly into a broad armrest ring, forming a continuous, unified line. The structure relies on broad, flat wooden elements arranged in a distinctive, symmetrical hourglass silhouette. All joints are integrated and flush, with no visible metal fittings or upholstery, highlighting the chair’s cohesive wooden form. The chair measures 72 × 54.5 × 51.5 cm, with a seat height of 45 cm and a weight of 5.5 kg. The form communicates a respect for craftsmanship and a pursuit of balance between lightness and stability. The smooth arc of the backrest, symmetry, and precise proportions reflect a focus on user comfort in every detail. The hourglass motif alludes to the passage of time, while the natural wood texture imparts authenticity and tranquility. The seat gently embraces the body, and the subtle curve of the backrest allows free movement, inviting extended moments at the table. Klepsydra Timber is well-suited for dining rooms with oak tables, fitting seamlessly into minimalist, Scandinavian-inspired, or contemporary interiors. It can be paired with simple pendant lights with a matte finish and low sideboards in natural wood. Neutral-toned textiles make a harmonious match,
