TURNER 80 is a pendant lamp designed by Broberg & Ridderstråle in 2025, constructed using the cocoon technique over a metal frame. Its soft, organic silhouette emerges from delicately layered material, creating a translucent, cocoon-like surface. The primary color is a warm, off-white with a subtle creamy undertone, complemented by a matte finish that diffuses light evenly. Subtle, irregular linear patterns are visible on the surface, characteristic of the cocoon process, adding depth and visual texture. The metal structure remains discreetly in the background, while a thin, neutral cord suspends the lamp. The model measures 80 cm in diameter with a 3-meter cord. TURNER 80 conveys restraint and softness, evoking the image of a natural cocoon or cloud. Light passing through the matte shade produces a gentle, enveloping glow—the lamp resembles a suspended light sculpture, where every detail underscores the harmony between technology and organic form. Minimalist qualities are emphasized by fluid lines and subtly defined textures, referencing the aesthetics of mid-century modernism. This lamp works well in a spacious living room, suspended over a central table or lounge area, where its scale and delicacy highlight the openness of the space. It can be paired with light wood furniture, textiles in shades of grey, and accessories with natural textures such as wool or linen.
