The Tiliskivi Brown rug by Marimekko, sized 170x240 cm, is a hand-woven piece crafted from high-quality wool. Its dense, soft pile (4200 g/m2) forms a geometric grid: a warm, matte brown base is intersected by evenly spaced cream lines, creating a series of rectangular segments across the surface. The edges are neatly finished, and the proportions reflect the clarity of Scandinavian modernism—balanced form and precise division referencing mid-century classics. The rug offers comfort underfoot thanks to the thickness and resilience of natural wool, while lying flat and stable on the floor. The minimalist grid evokes associations with architectural rhythm and the calm of geometric order. The matte, deep brown tone, offset by subtle light lines, builds an atmosphere of balance—as if the rug were a graphic statement about simplicity and harmony. Soft to the touch, visually disciplined, it expresses a modern sensibility that does not give up on warmth. It will work well in a living room with light walls and natural wood furniture, where its pattern can serve as a central accent. It can be combined with linear sofas, a minimalist coffee table, and lighting fixtures with simple forms. It harmonizes with textiles in beige, grey, or muted green tones. Surrounded by white or cream accessories, the grid pattern becomes more pronounced, while diffused lighting highlights the matte wool texture. The rug is intended for indoor use, made from 100% natural wool and handwoven. It has a pile weight of 4200 g/m2, ensuring substantial thickness and resilience. The colors remain stable over time, the pile is soft to the touch, and the rug lies flat on the floor. The model is covered by a two-year Marimekko manufacturer's warranty.
