The Alky lounge chair, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in 1969, is a contemporary take on classic Italian modernism. Its construction features a low, wide seat and organically shaped armrests that seamlessly merge with the backrest and legs. The upholstery is matte velvet in a uniform light beige sabbia shade, free from patterns or decorative stitching, highlighting the purity of its form. Polished aluminum caps finish the legs with a precise metallic accent, while the visible stitching along the edges attests to meticulous craftsmanship.
