The Tiles Door N wall light is a geometric arrangement composed of two vertically stacked, hand-shaped ceramic tiles mounted on a discreet aluminum support. Each tile features a screen-printed graphic in two tones: a deep black and a warm off-white, both finished with a subtly glossy glaze. The upper tile is mostly black, punctuated by a quarter-circle of white, while the lower tile is divided vertically into equal black and white halves. The composition reflects a modernist, minimalist approach, and the surface irregularities highlight the artisanal craftsmanship from a Portuguese workshop. The sconce casts indirect light, softly illuminating the wall and emphasizing the graphic quality of the form. The lamp’s form recalls a graphic collage—a dialogue between light and shadow, where simple geometry is softened by handwork. The glazed surfaces reflect light with quiet intensity, and the contrast of shapes creates a calm, rhythmic accent in the interior. The sconce communicates restraint, yet each tile carries the trace of the maker’s hand, lending unique character to every piece. Tiles Door N is well suited as a focal point on a neutral wall in a living room or hallway, where it can accentuate contemporary architecture. It may be paired with smooth textiles, black or white details, and furniture with clean lines. Against light surfaces, the ceramics’ graphic potential is enhanced; alongside wood or concrete, the piece gains depth and a tactile quality. Combining the sconce with a minimalist mirror or black-and-white artwork can further emphasize the coherence of the composition.
