The Tiles Moon G wall light exemplifies a contemporary approach to form, rooted in geometry and artisanal craftsmanship. Two vertically arranged square ceramic tiles, measuring 29 × 14 × 5.6 cm, create a simple yet striking silhouette. The ceramic surface is screen printed in a cool, medium gray, accented by a quarter-circle in off-white placed at the corner of each tile. The hallmark of this series is the subtle, matte texture and slightly irregular edges resulting from the handmade process in a Portuguese workshop. Mounted on an aluminium support, the lamp casts indirect light that enhances the sculptural quality and highlights the graphic moon motif. The visual language of the piece conveys tranquility and order, drawing inspiration from both minimalism and craft tradition. Its restrained aesthetic evokes the clarity of a graphic composition, where light serves as a silent collaborator. The tiles, with their matte, gently textured surfaces, recall the tactile qualities of stone and the rhythm of artisanal production, while the precise arrangement of off-white segments subtly references lunar cycles and the regularity of nature. Tiles Moon G works well as ambient lighting in living spaces and bedrooms, especially against light, raw walls and natural materials such as wood, linen, or brushed steel. It can be combined with simple, low-profile furniture and neutral-toned fixtures to emphasize its graphic line. The subdued palette also allows for the introduction of pronounced textures or soft textiles in shades of gray and white, creating a cohesive, harmonious composition.
