Tiles Moon V is a wall light composed of two vertically stacked, glazed ceramic tiles supported by a discreet aluminum structure hidden from view. The finish features a matte black base, intersected by a warm, off-white semicircular accent that spans both tiles, evoking the imagery of a lunar phase. The surface is smooth with a subtle sheen, contrasting with the handcrafted irregularities that give each piece its own identity. The proportions—29 × 14 × 5.6 cm—emphasize a horizontal line, while the minimalist form clearly references modernist and Bauhaus aesthetics. The fixture emits a soft, indirect glow that reflects off the wall, highlighting the sculptural quality of the ceramic. The moon motif and geometric division suggest a dialogue between light and shadow, making this sconce both a functional object and a quiet wall composition. Artisanal craft is interwoven with modern simplicity—each tile is unique, with artisanal imperfections becoming a mark of authenticity. The semicircular contour tells a story of minimalism, where ornamentation is reduced to a gesture of light. The sconce works well as a single accent in a living room or hallway, especially against light, smooth walls. It can be combined with other ceramic elements or minimalist linear lighting to emphasize the modernist character of the space. Pairing with natural wood furniture, black or chrome, and details in white marble or steel will enhance the graphic tension of the composition. Placing the sconce at eye level allows the subtlety of form and the play of light on the ceramic surface to be fully appreciated.
