The PLOPP stool in matte beige is crafted from thin sheets of aluminum, joined and shaped using the proprietary FiDU technology. The result is a three-legged construction with a diameter of 35 cm and a height of 50 cm, where flat metal sheets are inflated into organically deformed, three-dimensional forms. The matte surface diffuses light, highlighting a warm beige shade with a subtle cool undertone; the finish is uniform, free from visible patterns or gloss, and the structure is seamless, with no visible joints or screws. Each leg and the seat display gentle creases and soft folds, a natural outcome of the inflation process. The proportions are compact, and the overall silhouette balances the functionality of a stool with the presence of a sculptural object. PLOPP’s visual language plays with contrasts: the hard metal transforms into an apparently soft, inflated structure, evoking associations with a playful object or a fragment of contemporary art installation. The stool signals a spirit of experimentation and an affinity for engineering lightness. Minimalism here is subtly subverted by irony, and every crease becomes a trace of creative process – as if the aluminum has captured the movement of air forever. PLOPP will perform well as a standalone accent in a living room or home gallery. It can be combined with simple, geometric sofas, low tables in stone or glass, and floor lamps with metal bases.
