The PLOPP stool by Zieta Studio is the result of Oskar Zięta’s experimental engineering, crafted from steel using the FiDU technique: ultra-thin metal sheets are welded and then inflated under pressure to form a three-dimensional object. The matte beige version features three legs with a rounded, balloon-like profile and distinct folds and creases created by the production process. The seat is gently contoured, with no visible joints or decorative elements—construction is seamless, showcasing the purity of both form and material. The stool measures 35 × 35 cm and stands 50 cm high. This object stands at the intersection of sculpture and functional furniture: the matte finish diffuses light softly, while the irregular folds evoke material shaped by air. PLOPP communicates a sense of freedom and controlled randomness, as if each leg resulted from a unique artistic gesture. There is a playful undertone and a subtle defiance of traditional standards—the form remains visually light yet stable, revealing the inherent plasticity of metal. The stool works well as a singular accent in a living room or paired with other Zieta Studio pieces, especially in spaces where experimental detail is valued. It can be combined with a minimalist sofa in grey or warm neutrals, complemented by industrial lighting and raw finishes—concrete, glass, or natural wood will highlight its technological origins.
